Meet The Team

Hi! Also known as Syd, I’ve been part of the Shades Body Studio & More family since 2019 and work as the manager and receptionist. From booking appointments to helping with tanning services, I’m often the first face you’ll see when you walk in and the person making sure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.

I loved working alongside Amy & Steve during the renovations and remodel of our new building in 2021 and watching the salon grow into what it is today. Before Shades, I worked at a tanning salon in Onalaska until they closed, so tanning has always been something I genuinely enjoy and feel confident helping clients with.

I’m definitely the go-to girl for all things lotion—I’m a little obsessed and currently own about 20 bottles of tanning lotion myself. I truly enjoy getting to know our clients, keeping up with what’s going on in their lives, and making sure everyone feels comfortable, welcomed, and taken care of while they’re here.

Outside of the salon, I live in Sparta with my fiancé (we’re recently engaged with a wedding date set for October 2027!) and our very full house of four coonhounds—Coal, Aly, Daisy, and Stella—along with five cats: Kitten, JoJo, Pig, Porky, and Bean. I’m proud to be part of a salon made up of 14 amazing women who feel more like family, and I love being part of a place where our clients feel the same way.

Hello! I received my Master's Level of Cosmetology from St. Cloud Beauty College in St. Cloud, MN. Through my years of experience in the salon industry, I have worked in a wide range of salon settings, gaining valuable skills and insights from each. I am very proud to now be the owner and hairstylist of Styles by Becky. I am dedicated to helping each guest look and feel their best. I enjoy working one-on-one with clients to find styles that complement not only their appearance, but also their lifestyle. 
My life is guided by faith, family and a love for nature. My husband and I love spending time with our children and grandchildren, additional family and friends, and time on the water whenever we can. 

Hello! My name is Megan Meincke, and I graduated from cosmetology school 13 years ago from The Salon Professional in Onalaska, WI. I have been enjoying coloring and cutting hair since finishing school and opening up my new salon, Simply You. I'm excited to keep growing and learning as a person and stylist throughout the rest of my career.

  I grew up in La Crosse and moved to Sparta in 2008. I am a mom of 3 kiddos: Lacey, Lucas, and Logan. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my significant other, Eric, camping, and being on the river with kids and friends. I have been a stylist for going on 18 years. I began my career working for commercial salons, managing a Fantastic Sam's for 7 years. In January of 2018, I decided to go out on my own by joining Shades as an independent contractor. The following April, I took a class to learn sugaring hair removal. Sugar, water, and lemon make up the paste used to remove hair without sticking to the skin, causing little irritation. I love doing all kinds of hair and hair removal services, but I really enjoy fun hair colors and big changes!

  Hi, my name is Chelsea Luebke. I have over 13 years of experience in the beauty industry. I have worked in a salon in Ohio and have been a freelance hair and makeup artist for the past 12 years. My family and I recently moved to Wisconsin, and I have continued freelance work for weddings across the state. I have been with Shades for the past 12 months. I chose to pursue this career because I love encouraging women to feel beautiful and confident, no matter their age, size, or ethnicity. I started Only Prettier by Chelsea to continue this passion for making people feel beautiful inside and out. I love building a trusting relationship with my clients. My goal is to expand my knowledge and skill set to provide the best services to both new and current clientele.

2008 graduate of LaCrosse's WTC massage therapy program with 14 years of experience as well as licenses and certifications in Swedish relaxation, deep tissue therapy, sports massage, prenatal and infant/child massage, raindrop aromatherapy, hot stone and shirodhara, Oncology, hospice care massage, and more.

My name is Amy Nichols, the owner of Shades Body Studio & More and Skilled Touch Massage, LLC. I am also a full-time demand manager at Organic Valley.

Family is and will always be my number one priority and that includes my Shades family. I enjoy getting to know every person that I meet. I have many goals and I never stop trying to achieve them; this, you can see in the work I have accomplished.

Hello! My name is Cassy Grabitske. I am a 2007 graduate of The Salon Professional Academy in Onalaska, Wisconsin. I am a talented design artist with Redken. I have multiple certifications in hair color, including Blond Authority, Haircolor Consultations, and Principle-Based Formulation and Haircolor. Education is a priority to me, and I am also an educator at The Salon Professional Academy. I have been sharing my knowledge with students since 2014. My favorite part of my career is transforming people and bringing out their inner beauty! 

I've been doing hair since I was very young, probably around the age of 9, and decided to turn my passion/love into a career. I achieved my PhD at The Academy of Eau Claire, WI, then started working at Salon Medusa for 4 years. A short time after that, I decided to be my own boss and open up my own salon. I had no idea my passion would lead me to be an entrepreneur of many traits today, such as extensions, airbrush design, customized shave designs, face painting, and many other services. My wish is to give you a luxurious and unforgettable experience from the moment you walk into The Edge Salon. I strive to be and give the best experiences.

I am a certified makeup artist and licensed esthetician! I have been a makeup artist for 4 years, specializing in weddings. In July of 2020, I graduated as an esthetician from the Salon Professional Academy. I am the owner of Radiance Beauty & Esthetics located in Sparta. I offer a variety of services from facials, body wraps, chemical peels, full body waxing, lash and brow tints, cosmetics, teeth whitening, and full airbrush or traditional makeup applications. My goal is to enhance your beauty and make you feel your absolute best! Outside of work, I am a mother of two children. We enjoy camping, traveling, and keeping busy with extracurricular activities! I look forward to working with you and helping you to feel your absolute best and achieve ultimate relaxation. 

Hi!! My name is Olivia Manke, I’m a licensed massage therapist passionate about helping people relax, heal, and reconnect with their bodies. I believe massage is more than just relaxation—it’s a way to support overall well-being. Every session is thoughtfully customized to your body’s needs, creating a calm, safe space where you can release tension and leave feeling refreshed and restored. I’m excited to continue meeting new faces!
